The Founder, The Story……
Mark Amery has been in the Home Services space since the age of 17. Mark has founded, developed and grown (with the help of his long-term team), multiple Home Service brands. Some of the brands have scaled from 0 to 50 units in 48 months all using the strategic formulas Mark has created to scale service companies. Mark has been featured on television shows such as Dragons Den, continuous placements in BC Business magazines, ongoing interviews on various podcasts and has been a guest speaker at Universities and Colleges focusing on Entrepreneurism and Business Classes.
“You need systems to build structure, you need structure to build scale”
So…..how did Puddle start?
Mark Amery, the Founder of Puddle Pools, had moved into a home with a pool and spa. Like most homeowners who have never owned a pool, it was confusing and overwhelming to say the least. When Mark was trying to book a company to assist, the service was minimal at best. No shows for appointments, nobody answering the phones, customer service at zero. There was finally a company that sent a technician, who was 2 hours late, had 1 shoe (not kidding!) and had his old pickup truck leak oil all over the driveway.
Mark had multiple service brands at the time, so Mark immediately “Cannonballed” into the pool world to put the systems and procedures into place.
Low Overhead…..How?
We start all our locations with 1 technician in 1 service vehicle. All the equipment needed is kept inside the vehicle, so there is no need for storage. Being a home-based business, the fixed costs are minimal.
Who are the Customers?
Anyone with a pool, spa or even fountains. Family Households, HOA communities, Apartments, Airbnb’s, Hotels, Gyms etc.
Puddle’s marketing programs focus on both B2B & B2C out of the gates. The B2C component is beneficial to grow and scale the location with the B2B campaign running alongside.
