Being a "people person" is crucial. Our franchisees often find themselves interacting not just with pets, but also with their owners, staff, and the community. Excellent interpersonal skills, a knack for clear communication, and an empathetic disposition are indispensable. They should be able to foster trust, address concerns with grace, and build long-lasting relationships. Furthermore, a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to the All Dogs Unleashed brand vision would thrive in this role. They should exhibit a proactive approach to learning, constantly seeking to understand the latest in dog care and training, and be eager to participate in continuous training and development opportunities. As a Manager Run business model in franchising, ADU may be presented to a candidate (with any background) that qualifies based on the required financial criteria. We are looking for franchisees with basic business skills that can manage and motivate a team, have sufficient financial resources, and will follow the blueprint of a proven business model. AND of course … they must LOVE dogs! If your candidate has these qualities, then they are a prime candidate to own an ADU Franchise!

Function of the Owner/daily tasks:

• Oversee Real Estate Site Selection and Lease Negotiation (Using 3rd party RE & Construction Management services and Corp provides knowledge and support)

• Oversee Grand Opening (Corp provides knowledge and support and conducts Owner/Manager initial training at corporate offices)

• Oversee Marketing (Corp provides knowledge, plan, and support)

• Manage the Manager (Corp provides knowledge, tools, and support)

• Manage Finance/Accounting

• Hire, Train, and Manage Manager

The day-to-day activities of a franchisee at All Dogs Unleashed are both diverse and integral to ensuring the smooth running of the facility. Depending on the size of the staff team and the delegation of duties, these responsibilities can vary.

Staffing:

Manager Oversight: The manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring that every service—be it training, boarding, daycare, or grooming—is delivered at our brand's high standard. They are responsible for staff scheduling, resolving any immediate issues, and making sure the facility is running efficiently.

Staff Training and Development: Regular training sessions are conducted for staff members to keep them updated on the latest dog training techniques, grooming standards, and care practices. The franchisee, manager or head trainer often spearheads or facilitates these sessions, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills.

Client Relations: Building strong relationships with pet owners is paramount. The manager often interacts with clients, addresses concerns, provides updates on their pets, and ensures overall client satisfaction.

Administrative Duties: This encompasses a range of activities from inventory checks, ensuring that there are enough supplies (like dog food, grooming equipment, etc.), to managing finances, handling bookings, and keeping track of daily revenues and expenses.

Marketing and Community Engagement: As ambassadors of the All Dogs Unleashed brand, franchisees and managers often engage in local marketing efforts, participate in community events, and foster partnerships that can benefit the center.

It's worth noting that while the franchisee does need to be managing their manager and business, a well-delegated and competent staff team can greatly assist in balancing day-day operations, allowing the franchisee to focus on strategic growth and business development.
