Ideal Siding Franchise Scales Past 100 With Bigger Ambitions

Ideal Siding Franchise Growth Moves Into a New Expansion Phase

Ideal Siding has entered a new stage in its franchise development journey after building a network of more than 100 locations across the United States and Canada.

But the larger story is no longer simply how many territories the siding renovation company has added. Ideal Siding is increasingly focused on what comes after rapid expansion: developing stronger operators, opening additional revenue channels and creating infrastructure capable of supporting a much larger North American franchise system.

The Vancouver-founded company has outlined plans to approach 200 locations and 100 franchise owners over the next three years. Multi-unit franchise development is expected to become a larger part of that strategy.

Years of Rapid Franchise Expansion Build Momentum

Ideal Siding launched in Vancouver in 2019 under founder and CEO Alex Filipuk and expanded into the United States in 2022.

The pace of development accelerated significantly afterward.

During 2024, Ideal Siding added 30 franchise locations, including 28 in the United States and two in Canada. The company also reported doubling system revenue that year while expanding its franchise network by approximately 85%.

Growth continued throughout 2025.

The company awarded 19 franchise agreements during the year—17 in the United States and two in Canada—and opened approximately 23 additional locations. Expansion reached markets including Chicago, Cincinnati, Long Island, Baltimore, Richmond, Ottawa and Providence.

By 2026, the brand was approaching a different level of scale.

Ideal Siding reported awarding another 11 territories and opening nine locations during the year before announcing that its overall network had moved beyond 100 locations.

The company now operates across six Canadian provinces and has franchise agreements covering markets in 23 U.S. states.

Ideal Siding Begins Targeting Larger Franchise Operators

With the first 100 locations established, Ideal Siding is placing greater emphasis on attracting entrepreneurs capable of operating larger businesses and potentially developing multiple territories.

Recent franchise additions demonstrate the type of professional background the company is pursuing.

James Ayo joined the network in Knoxville, Tennessee, bringing more than two decades of experience involving engineering, construction projects and operations. Matthew Hammond entered the system to develop the Portland-area market after working in business development, sales and operations across several industries.

Neither profile depends on the owner being a career siding installer.

Ideal Siding's business model separates franchise ownership from physically performing the installation work. Owners oversee areas such as customer acquisition, estimates, sales, project coordination and local business development while professional installation crews complete siding projects.

The company assists franchisees with identifying and managing crews, allowing operators to concentrate more heavily on building the business.

An Early Franchisee Now Helps Lead the System

Another notable change has occurred at the corporate level.

In 2025, Ideal Siding appointed Arkady Vitrouk as Brand President.

Vitrouk was not recruited directly from an outside home improvement company. He joined Ideal Siding as its fourth franchisee in 2020 before eventually moving into the leadership role.

His professional background also extends well beyond construction. Prior to Ideal Siding, Vitrouk held executive positions including CEO of AbeBooks and Director of Kindle Content at Amazon EU, along with earlier experience at Goldman Sachs.

As Brand President, his responsibilities include franchise operations, owner mentoring and development of the infrastructure needed to support continued expansion.

Putting an experienced franchise owner into a senior leadership position gives Ideal Siding something particularly relevant for an emerging franchise system: an executive who has personally gone through the process of launching and operating a territory.

Commercial Projects Create a Second Growth Engine

Ideal Siding is also attempting to expand what an individual franchise territory can sell.

The company introduced a nationwide Commercial Support Program in 2026 to help owners pursue projects beyond residential siding replacement.

The program assists franchisees with prospecting, commercial bidding, construction drawings, estimates, contracts, permits and project documentation. It can also help franchisees develop relationships with general contractors and property managers.

Early commercial activity illustrates the potential scale difference.

A Texas Ideal Siding franchisee has been working on an approximately $800,000 siding replacement project involving an 18-unit apartment property. The company has also reported commercial work in Hamilton, Ontario, with other projects developing across the network.

The commercial initiative opens additional opportunities involving apartment buildings, multifamily communities, townhomes and other properties.

For established franchise owners, that could provide another path to increasing revenue without relying entirely on residential leads.

Franchise Support Infrastructure Expands

Ideal Siding has been expanding its corporate support operation alongside its franchise footprint.

The company's Support Center team has grown more than tenfold over approximately five years.

Resources now include business coaching, marketing support and specialized commercial project assistance. Ideal Siding also provides centralized lead-generation capabilities, a call center and design resources that can create project renderings for prospective customers.

Its franchise model does not require the traditional office or warehouse footprint associated with some construction businesses, which may allow owners to operate with a different overhead structure.

Ideal Siding has completed more than 2,500 residential and commercial exterior renovation projects since its launch.

Training Addresses the Skilled Labor Challenge

Siding installation ultimately depends on qualified crews, making labor development an important issue as the franchise network expands geographically.

Ideal Siding created Siding Academy to help address that challenge.

The initiative began developing structured courses during 2025 covering siding materials, installation practices and related technical skills. The broader objective is to create more consistent training standards across the system.

For a franchise concept where the final product is installed on a customer's property, quality control becomes increasingly important as the number of locations grows.

Industry Recognition Accompanies Growth

Ideal Siding's expansion has also brought outside industry recognition.

James Hardie named Ideal Siding to its 2025 President's Club. The award recognizes contractors demonstrating exceptional sales volume or significant year-over-year growth, and fewer than 1% of James Hardie ALLIANCE members received the designation.

Franchise Business Review has also listed Ideal Siding among its 2026 recognized franchise opportunities in categories including Top Franchise, Most Profitable, Top Culture and Low-Cost.

These recognitions arrive as Ideal Siding attempts to establish itself beyond the emerging-franchise stage.

What Happens After 100 Locations?

The next phase of Ideal Siding's story will likely be measured differently from the first.

Early growth demonstrated that the franchise concept could expand from Canada into dozens of U.S. markets. The challenge now is building stronger unit economics, developing multi-unit franchisees, expanding commercial business and maintaining support standards as the system gets larger.

Ideal Siding is targeting nearly 200 locations and 100 franchise owners within the next three years.

That means its next milestone will not simply depend on selling another 100 territories.

It will depend on whether the infrastructure created during this period can help a much larger network of franchise owners build sustainable local businesses.
