Description

Caring Transitions is the nation's largest provider of senior relocation and the resale of household goods.

All in all our franchise owners find seniors looking to downsize into an assisted living facility or a smaller apartment. We will go through the house to find which items the senior wants to take with them to the new place. We will box them up and physically move them to the new location and then unpack them. We set up the new living quarters to make it feel like a small piece of their own home. We then go back into the house and whatever is left we will perform an estate sale or online sale using our CTBids website. Finally, we downsize and declutter the house by donating items that have value and throwing out trash leaving the home in a broom swept condition so a real estate agent can stage it and put it on the market to be sold.

Background

Caring Transitions is the nation’s largest provider of senior relocation services and the resale of household goods.

Business Model & Services

Franchise owners primarily work with seniors who are downsizing into assisted living facilities or smaller residences. The process includes:

  • Consulting with the senior to identify which belongings they wish to take
  • Packing and transporting selected items to the new location
  • Unpacking and setting up the new living space to reflect the comfort of their previous home
  • Returning to the original residence to manage remaining items

For items left behind, franchisees:

  • Conduct estate sales or online auctions through the CTBids platform
  • Donate items of value
  • Dispose of unwanted items and debris

The home is ultimately left in a clean, broom-swept condition, ready for real estate staging and sale.

Franchise Opportunity

This is a home-based business model designed for entrepreneurs who want to:

  • Support seniors in a non-medical capacity
  • Operate with relatively low startup costs
  • Be part of a nationally recognized brand network

Franchise owners benefit from a service-driven model focused on compassion, organization, and community impact.
