Le Macaron Franchise Success Story in Florida Growth
Relocating to a new country is never simple, but for Sabine and Stéphane Juskowiak, it became the foundation of a thriving business journey in the U.S. Their search for the right investment opportunity led them to the Le Macaron French Pastries franchise — a decision that would ultimately reshape their future.
Originally from France, the couple explored several franchise categories including wellness, fitness, and quick-service concepts. However, none aligned with their passion until Sabine discovered Le Macaron. With a deep-rooted love for baking and a culinary influence passed down from her grandmother, who worked in luxury Parisian hotels, the concept immediately resonated.
In 2016, the family launched their first location in St. Augustine, Florida. What made their story unique was the hands-on approach — the entire business was run by the couple and their two teenage children. Within just a few months, they expanded with a second location nearby, driven by both business momentum and the requirements tied to their E-2 visa.
Building a Profitable and Recognized Local Brand
Over time, their operation evolved from a startup hustle into a structured and efficient business. Sabine now oversees both locations with precision — managing inventory, training staff, coordinating product displays, and ensuring consistent brand standards. Her involvement extends to payroll, staffing, and high-value custom orders for weddings and corporate clients.
The two locations cater to different customer experiences. One offers a refined café-style setting where guests can relax and enjoy authentic French desserts, while the other provides a quick-service retail experience paired with curated Paris-themed merchandise.
Their product lineup plays a significant role in customer retention. Freshly prepared daily using proprietary recipes, the menu includes premium macarons, artisanal chocolates, gelato, pastries, and beverages. The focus on natural, gluten-free ingredients further strengthens their positioning in a health-conscious market.
A Family-Driven Franchise with Long-Term Impact
Today, the business employs a team of 12 to 18 staff members depending on the season, while still maintaining strong family involvement during peak periods. The brand has established itself as a destination for both everyday indulgence and special occasions.
Beyond financial success, the franchise delivered something far more meaningful — a complete life transformation. Through their entrepreneurial journey, the Juskowiak family achieved U.S. citizenship and built a stable future.
Le Macaron provided more than a business opportunity; it became a gateway to long-term security, family growth, and the realization of their American dream.
